Younger Man
03:35
|
|
||
You are a younger man
Wisdom’s not in your hands
Reckless and free at last
So take off ‘cos life is fast.
It’s dangerous to soar close to the skies
But you’ll take the challenge, and learn the highs.
It’s better to live, learn and know
Than waiting for the world’s face to show...
It’s harder to stand and defend the score
While being so close to your back door.
It’s easier to pack up and leave this town
But return to discover the answer’s in the sound...
A caged bird is meant to fly
To see wonders from the sky
So go, find your set of wings
Chase the rain like a King

Hang On The Walls
06:02
|
|
||
When the nights turn shorter,
And the sun refuses to shine,
Moving on is our past time,
Where's the courage we should find?
In the sharp cold surrender
Find a new frame of heart
Trudging forward to the darkness
Distance keeps us apart
After the picture has fallen
We’ll still hang on the walls
And I know that it’s winter
But I can’t just let it snow
Sometimes I feel, like the race is over
And something will slow me down
Sometimes I feel, like the change is broken,
And someone will find me out
And I know that it's winter,
Snow is falling on the ground,
Beneath the slippery surface,
There's a warmth to be found

Someone Else's Brother
03:36
|
|
||
Sharing a name but not a face, the differences are stark
Yet the same, yet the same
You’re eyes may be worse, and those glasses may not fit
But you see things differently, perhaps better
And maybe I can learn from you, more than the other way around.
And I see you as more than the kid I used to walk around town with,
And our ideals have changed but the spirit still remains strong enough
You may be someone else’s brother, but we have the same blood.
And I grew up with you, but I’m not sure you grew up too,
Where did you go to? Where did you go to?
We drift apart at times but it’s always the same when you’re around,
Always the same

Little Steps
04:46
|
|
||
We’ve come from so far baby, I know it’s gonna be hard but we’ve gotta try anyway
The stress is overtaking, but a few more moments should see us through alright,
The lights are growing dim now, and I know it’s almost time to leave this place that we have grown to love
The signs are pointing us in, a new direction that could lift us to a higher standing, but still a place just as demanding
It doesn’t get easier in time
But see I’m doing a new thing for you
A beautiful start towards a perfect part of the puzzle.
Just these little steps that will work out fine.
No certain set direction, but travelling has always been our joy
We stroll on to the end of, end of the world as we know it,
The tides are coming in now, I think we’ve almost travelled out a little far, but something tells me this could be the start,
The breeze is flowing in now; a leap of faith is all you can expect from one so tangled, but assets always hold us back
Work out just fine... work out just fine...
Maybe it will, let’s hope that these little steps will take us all the way to the door...

Until It Rains Again
04:34
|
|
||
I just can’t wait until it rains again
I just can’t wait until it rains again
I want to know where you go when you’re not home
I want to know where your spirit soars
Tell me if I'm wrong, but did you ever stop to wonder why we take so long to notice it all?
Look at the skies, cascading down above us, yellow and white, fading into blue
In bare feet will I, ever run through fields of colours? Try to take flight, pulling you along
Where earth meets the sun, can we trace the line together? All that we’ve done, led us to right here
But the moment sets upon us, gravity expects,
The night can get so long, I wait with baited breath
Tell me if I’m right, does all that’s golden glitter? Or just in the night, do we pick it up better?
When will I know, if morning knows me better? Forecast is low, high chance to make it right

Dusk
02:51

|

It doesn’t matter, if the lights are flickering,
It doesn’t matter, when there’s nobody gone,
And my soul has got a fever, but my body remains whole
And I’m stuck in this transition, but I'm speaking full
I’m Driving Home, In the Dark
I’m Driving Home, In the Cold
It doesn’t matter; where you rest you rest head tonight
It doesn’t matter, if I can help you out, or give you a fright
And there’s no one left who can save me from my own fears other than me
And there’s no one who can understand what it means to feel not completely free
I’m driving home, in the dark
I'm driving home, in the cold
I’m driving home, don’t let me stop you, I'm driving home,
I'm driving home, and I don’t know where I'm going, I'm driving home
I’m driving…

Travel With Me
04:58
|
|
||
Come travel with me, take a ride out to the other side of the city,
We’ll let our adventures lead.
Come travel with me, it’s the simple pleasures, you will see,
That can change you. Refresh you, you’ll see
I know that we have, been tired and un-replenished
I know that you have, desired to feel clean
I think that you might, require fresh eyes to focus
I think that you might, love what I have in store
Come walk here with me, set some time aside to be together,
To remember our passion, as though it had died
Come walk here with me, decipher a plan of action, you’ll see,
That will change you. Refresh you, you’ll see
I feel that we should, spend time to rediscover,
I feel that we should, inquire of each other,
I know that I feel, love in sync with desire
I know that I feel, as strong as I did then
On the shore, contemplating the sea with you next to me
Watching the sun, fall beneath where my eyes can see
And so it is, my love for you won’t drown down beneath, it’ll stay up high,
My love for you will drown out the other sounds through your life.

Flood My Heart
02:51
|
|
||
Flood my Heart and I’ll resurface
Solace of my soul I’ll find in you
I’ve set up camp where the line between black and white blurs to grey
Where we should be gold, we have turned copper
Break me again, so I can discover more parts of myself
(Spark me a forest fire in this heart I call a home)
I see your broken eyes (and my are still frozen)
Watching my broken life (and no words are escaping my lips)
I feel your broken arms (and my feet are still frozen)
Holding my broken life
